Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026. This policy covers the Netconf mobile app for iOS and Android, and this website.

What we collect

Nothing. Netconf has no user accounts, no telemetry, and no server that we operate to receive your data. We cannot see your network, your devices, or your lookups.

Data you create inside the app — saved Wake-on-LAN devices, lookup history, scan results, and your theme preference — is written to on-device storage and stays on that device. Deleting the app deletes that data.

What we don't do

  • No accounts, sign-ups, or logins of any kind.
  • No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs bundled in the app.
  • No advertising networks, ad IDs, or attribution SDKs.
  • No cloud sync or remote backup of your data.
  • No selling, sharing, or brokering of personal data — there is none to sell.
  • No trackers, cookies, or social embeds on this website.

Third-party services used per tool

Some tools must contact the internet to do their job. Those requests go directly from your device to the relevant service — never through us.

  • Wake-on-LAN, Ping, LAN Scanner, Subnet Calculator — operate on your local network (or purely offline, in the calculator's case). No external service is contacted.
  • DNS Lookup — queries a public DNS resolver, or the resolver you configure, using the hostname you type.
  • Whois Lookup — queries the relevant public WHOIS/RDAP registry for the domain you type.
  • Speed Test — transfers test payloads against a public measurement endpoint to compute throughput.

These providers may see your IP address as a normal consequence of any internet request, and their own policies apply to that request. We receive nothing from them.
